  • Range: $5,000.00 - $5,500.00 CommissionJob Description Summary Lasell University invites applications for the part-time position of Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach. Lasell University is a member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and the NCAA Division III offering 19 varsity sports 9 for men and 10 for women). Lasell University’s 50-acre campus is located in Newton, MA, a community located ten miles west of Boston. The co-educational institution, offering professionally oriented baccalaureate and master’s degree programs, has an enrollment of 1600 full-time undergraduate students. The Assistant Coach will report to the Head Men’s Soccer Coach.

Responsibilities

The statements below are intended to describe the principal duties of the person or persons assigned to this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties and responsibilities. Lasell University has the right to add or change the job responsibilities at any time. The Assistant Coach will assist with all facets of administering a competitive NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer program with a special emphasis on recruitment of appropriate student athletes; specific tasks include, but are not limited to: assisting with practice and game preparation; assisting with academic support; assisting with fundraising and insuring the general welfare of the student-athlete. It is required that the person in this position have a thorough and complete understanding of all NCAA Division III philosophies and regulations and will adhere to these at all times. Regular day, evening and weekend hours are required. QualificationsQualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Previous coaching and/or experience at the collegiate level is strongly preferred. Knowledge and compliance with NCAA Division III rules required. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the developmental education of student-athletes, a strong work ethic, organizational skills, computer skills, and the ability to interact professionally within the department, the campus, and the community. Requirements
