In this role, you will provide individualized, developmentally appropriate instruction, implement IEPs and behavior support plans, and adapt curriculum using evidence-based strategies to meet diverse learning needs. You’ll create a structured yet nurturing classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and motivated to grow.
Collaboration is a core part of this position. You’ll work closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to align goals, share strategies, and ensure consistent support across learning environments. Through teamwork and intentional planning, you’ll help foster inclusive experiences that promote long-term success for every student.
Candidates must hold a valid Georgia teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement and possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Special Education or a related field. A strong foundation in early childhood development, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams are essential.
