The Instructional Assistant, Elementary School supports classroom teachers in creating a positive, organized, and effective learning environment. Responsibilities include assisting with daily classroom activities, preparing instructional materials, helping with grading, and providing one‑on‑one support to students who may need additional guidance.
Essential Functions
Cultivate a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
Prepare age-appropriate materials.
Help organize and prepare resources for students.
Help in integrating technology to effectively create a 21st-century learning environments within the classroom (ISTE Standards).
Collaborating with other teachers, staff, students, and parents to support student progress.
Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management.
Participate in all faculty meetings, retreats, school committees and in-service learning opportunities.
Communicate professionally and in a timely manner with parents.
Position Qualifications
Degree in Elementary Education and/or 90-hour childcare certification preferred.
Experience in a Catholic School setting preferred.
Must be an active practicing Catholic.
$16.00 - $17.50, Hourly
