As the School-Based Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:

Provide social work services, individual and group therapy, psycho-educational groups, assessments, referrals, behavioral management, support services and family casework for the students at Arbor Hill Elementary School

Attend faculty meetings, Instructional Support Team, Family Support Team, and any other meetings deemed appropriate by the School principal;

Provide case management services by establishing linkages and referrals for service provision within the greater health, human service and health care communities;

Assist classroom teachers in dealing with children with specific behavioral issues

Plan and develop plans for group work on various topics (anger management, self-esteem, anti-violence, communication skills, conflict resolutions, etc.)

School-Based Social Worker Schedule

Monday-Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm

*This is a 10-month position based at Arbor Hill Elementary School work with children from Kindergarten - 5th grade*

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work in related field OR LMSW/LMHC
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of current car insurance and registration and access to a reliable, working vehicle

Requirements
