About the role

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Head Coach of Highlander Aquatics, the Seasonal Swim Team Coach is a certified USA Swimming Coach who develops young athletes in a positive environment and encourages individuals to succeed at his/her own level.

We are looking for a qualified and dependable individual who loves the sport of swimming and enjoy working with children in a competitive and fun atmosphere.

This position also opens opportunities to coach multi-group levels within Highlander Aquatics.

Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 3:30 - 6:30 pm.

This a 12-month part-time, non-benefited position.

Education/Experience

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
  • Previous experience as a swim coach preferred.
  • Current certifications in CPR and First Aid required.
  • Possess knowledge of various strokes and techniques for different age/ability levels.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, to accommodate the program’s lesson schedule.

Requirements

Requires current CPR and First Aid certifications and knowledge of various swimming strokes and techniques. Previous experience as a swim coach is preferred.
