Co-Curricular Program Assistants facilitate activities and supervise students in the after-school program under the supervision of a Lead Teacher or other qualifying staff member. This is a wonderful opportunity for aspiring educators or for those who love working with children. This is a part-time, seasonal, non-exempt, non-benefited position. After-school programs are open Monday-Friday from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. (earlier start on early release days). Approximately 15-20 hours per week.
Some experience or college preferred but not required. Must be at least 17 years of age and have a high school diploma/equivalent or currently enrolled in high school/equivalent. First aid/CPR certification preferred but not required.
The successful candidate will be a principled, professional leader with an independent work ethic and a heart of service to others. They must demonstrate sound business judgment and wisdom in dealing with people. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. Running, jumping and other rapid movements may also be required. May be required to move or position equipment up to 15 pounds approximately.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.
May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.
