Lecturer in English - Department of Language, Culture & Gender Studies-English, Rhetoric & Spanish

• We invite applications for a full-time lecturer in First-Year Composition to support TWU’s developmental education curriculum.
• Applicants should have an established record of and avid interest in teaching integrated reading and writing.
• We are especially interested in candidates with prior experience working with, advising, and/or mentoring at-risk students.
• This is a teaching-centered position with a 5/5 course load and an expectation of departmental service.
• While the position includes minimal research requirements, candidates are expected to stay abreast of trends in the field and current best practices with integrated reading and writing.
• Courses will primarily consist of integrated reading and writing and on-level First-Year Composition.
• The position is renewable annually assuming good performance.

The positions begin August 2026. Successful candidates should hold an MA or PhD in English, Rhetoric, or a closely allied field. The candidates should be prepared to teach engaging courses in a range of modalities: face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses. Rank of lecturer appointment (I, II, III, or Sr.) depends on experience and qualifications.
