• Degree: Master’s Degree in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) focus required. Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or PhD preferred. The required degree must be completed by the start date. Current, unencumbered Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of Utah, with current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (e.g., through AANP or ANCC).

Experience

• At least five years of clinical experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
• Duties/Expectations:
• Responsibilities include the following: Teach NURS 624, visiting students in the clinical setting, and collaborating with clinical preceptors. Supervise, support, mentor, and evaluate graduate FNP students in clinical and practicum settings. Facilitate or debrief simulation experiences for FNP students. Grade assignments, exams, and clinical documentation, and provide timely, constructive feedback. Collaborate with the course coordinator and program faculty on course delivery and student learning outcomes. Travel within the state of Utah is required.
