The Educational Diagnostician provides guidance on compliant IEPs and ARD documentation while conducting multidisciplinary evaluations for students. They support campuses with academic and behavioral interventions, including FBAs and BIPs, to maximize student outcomes.
Requires a Master's degree in Special Education or Education and a mandatory Texas Educational Diagnostician Certificate. Preference is given to candidates with at least 3 years of experience as a campus Educational Diagnostician.

The Educational Diagnostician works with the Special Programs team, regional leaders, campus leaders, parents, and Special Education and General Education teachers in an effort to maximize student outcomes.
· Knowledge of procedures for assessing academic achievement and cognitive functioning for educational purposes, including cross-battery evaluation practices. · Knowledge of prevention and intervention strategies, including behavior management interventions · Knowledge of psycho-social development · Strong consultation skills for conferencing with teachers, parents, and students · Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills · Ability to manage multiple requests, deadlines, and priorities Knowledge and Skills – Competencies Make Strategic Decisions: This team member makes informed decisions by gathering reliable information, asking clarifying questions, and evaluating multiple options. Additional Skills: Required Education and Experience: · Master’s degree in Special Education or Education from accredited college or university · Texas Educational Diagnostician Certificate REQUIRED · At least 3 years experience as a campus Educational Diagnostician preferred Preferred Education and Experience: Physical Requirements: · Must be able to sit for extended periods of time without being able to leave the work area. · Must be able to climb ladders or scaffolding, or climb and work in overhead areas · Must be able to work in a confined space or to crawl or move about on hands and knees. · Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 20 pounds (regularly/occasionally) · Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, running and climbing stairs. · Must be able to lift and carry small children up to 40 pounds in case of emergency. · Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including in times of excessive heat or cold
