Applicants must have an Associate's degree in Surgical Technology/Assisting or be a Registered Nurse with a national certification accredited by the NCCA. A minimum of two years of experience in a scrub role or as an instructor within the last five years is required.

Instructor Surgical Technology HV-FAC-Surg7626 (Position Is a full-time Probationary, Tenure track Position) Fall 2026
Associates Degree in Surgical Assisting./Surgical Technology from an accredited college or university or a Registered Nurse; possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA); have a minimum total of two years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years. Previous experience and/or desire to engage in distance learning initiatives is preferred.
The salary for this position is $53,000.00. This position includes benefits for 12 months but has a work obligation of a 10-month appointment (151 workdays), which reflects responsibilities during the fall and spring semesters. The annual assigned teaching load is between thirty (30) and thirty-three (33) contact hours, typically distributed as eighteen (18) contact hours in the fall semester and fifteen (15) contact hours in the spring semester. There may be opportunities for evening and weekend teaching, as well as the potential for additional compensation through voluntary overload.
