The Registered Nurse (RN) in the STAIRS program plays a vital role in providing compassionate, high-quality medical care to youth ages 6–21 with autism and developmental disabilities in an intensive residential treatment setting. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the RN supports individuals with complex behavioral and medical needs who have not responded to treatment in less restrictive environments. The RN is responsible for monitoring and managing residents’ health, administering medications, coordinating care with physicians and psychiatric providers, and supporting staff in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment. This role includes assessing health concerns, providing first aid or medical interventions as needed, and educating both residents and staff on health and wellness topics. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral health needs preferred Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills Ability to respond to medical and behavioral crises calmly and effectively Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills State PA criminal, FBI, PA Act 168, and PA child abuse clearances required. Valid PA driver’s license with three (3) year driving record required.
