Collaborate with the preschool team to provide high-quality care and education for children aged birth to 5 years. Assist lead teachers with classroom duties, meal preparation, and providing necessary breaks.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and reliable transportation. Ability to pass a background check and lift up to 50 pounds is required.
Overview The Part-Time Early Childhood Substitute Teacher works collaboratively with the preschool team to ensure a high-quality program that aligns with YMCA values and early childhood best practices. Assist Lead Teachers and Teachers in their classrooms. Assist with cooking, prepping and serving meals. Giving Lead Teachers and Teachers breaks and lunch breaks. Caring for children ranging in ages from birth-5 years. Bending and lifting up to 50 pounds. Filling in for Lead Teachers and Teachers in their absence. All YMCA staff are responsible for creating a safe, inclusive environment. This includes following all YMCA policies and procedures related to abuse prevention, reporting concerns or incidents immediately, and maintaining appropriate boundaries with youth and members.
Be 18 years old. Have a high school diploma or GED. Have reliable transportation. Be a positive and proactive person. Have great communication skills. Must be able to pass a background check.
