Design and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based lesson plans for toddlers focusing on math, literacy, and science. Foster a safe, respectful learning environment while maintaining strong communication and bonds with children and their families.
Requires a High School Diploma plus either an Associate's degree in early childhood education, a CDA Certification, or 2+ years of experience in early childhood. Candidates must be nurturing and capable of implementing Project Construct curriculum.
Work with children in a one-on-one and group setting through meaningful, hands-on learning activities Prepare and design weekly lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate and differentiated for all skill levels and student interests Design and execute math, literacy, and science learning activities that allow students the opportunity to communicate orally and in writing Use daily mealtimes with the class as a method to incorporate learning and social skills Build schedules and routines for the students Strategically plan the curriculum to target areas related to child development such as social, motor, and language skills Proactively communicate expectations, criteria for assessment, student progress, and students’ strengths and opportunities to parents and students Promote and model a positive and respectful learning environment that focuses on positive redirection Establish trust and bond with the children and families in which you will serve Maintain a safe and healthy classroom by following all center health and safety guidelines and rules Demonstrate high standards of professionalism and ethics
