Assist lead teachers in implementing play-based lesson plans and facilitating learning activities for children from infant to prekindergarten. Maintain a safe, respectful classroom environment while building trust with children and their families.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates must have at least one year of experience working in early childhood education.
Work with children in a one-on-one and group setting through meaningful, hands-on learning activities Assist with implementing the lesson plans Lead Teachers create, ensuring they are developmentally appropriate and differentiated for all skill levels and student interests Facilitate planned math, literacy, and science learning activities that allow students the opportunity to communicate orally and in writing Use daily mealtimes with the class as a method to incorporate learning and social skills Assist with following schedules and routines for the children Promote and model a positive and respectful learning environment that focuses on positive redirection Establish trust and bond with the children and families in which you serve Maintain a safe and healthy classroom by following all center health and safety guidelines and rules Communicate with parents about their child’s day and demonstrate high standards of professionalism and ethics Experience career growth with opportunity to gain lead teacher experience
