  • Matter: Our ultimate aim is to help students achieve independence, community inclusion, and self-determination. As a key member of our team, you’ll play a crucial role in helping students reach these important milestones.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs. Create comprehensive lesson plans that integrate goals and objectives from all disciplines within the IEP. Monitor and adjust behavior and classroom management techniques to ensure a supportive learning environment. Maintain open communication with the classroom team, parents, and program directors to enhance student performance and support.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master's degree in an education-related field. Currently pursuing or planning to pursue a Master’s Degree in Special Education. At least 18 years old and capable of lifting 50 pounds independently.

Preferred Qualifications

Initial NYS Certification in Special Education. Experience working with students with developmental disabilities. Creative and energetic approach to teaching.
