The Health Care Educator-NRP provides instruction and skills testing for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for employees across the Munson Healthcare system. The role requires teaching at least two courses per year and traveling to various system locations.
Candidates must be a licensed RN, RRT, NP, PA, or Physician in Michigan with a bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of neonatal experience. A current NRP provider certificate is required, and instructor certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
A Day in the Life The Health Care Educator-NRP is responsible for providing instruction and skills testing for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program course (NRP) for MHC employees throughout the MHC system. The educator possesses good communication, teaching and feedback skills. The educator is required to teach at least two courses per year for Munson Healthcare. The educator may need to travel to different locations for classes located throughout the Munson Healthcare system.
What’s Required Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA), or Physician in the State of Michigan. Bachelor’s degree in clinical nursing, education or related field required with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a neonatal nurse, neonatal qualified RRT, Neonatal NP or PA, or physician working with neonatal patients required. Current NRP provider certificate required. Current NRP instructor certification preferred. Must obtain within six months of date of hire. Master’s degree preferred.
