We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced High School World History Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a deep understanding of world history. As a High School World History Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans, grading assignments, and providing feedback to students. You will also be responsible for maintaining a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of learning.

Plan and implement a blended learning environment, providing direct and indirect instruction in World Geography based on the Louisiana Student Standards for World Geography Participation in all TAP requirements, focusing on data-driven instruction Participate in all relevant Professional Development Maintain high behavioral expectations for all students Create an inviting, exciting, innovative and engaging learning environment that develops student critical thinking and problem-solving skills Prepare students for strong academic achievement and passing of all required assessments Communicate regularly with parents
A bachelor’s degree or higher with at least 24 credit hours in content area Valid State of Louisiana Teaching Certificate/License for grades 6-12 At least one (or more) of the following: National Board Certification, TAP Experience, o Core Knowledge Experience, Blended Learning Experience, At least two years of successful teaching in an urban environment Strong technical skills, particularly in integrating technology in the classroom to drive academic achievement Can demonstrate strong classroom management skills Demonstrated volunteer or community service
