Description Children's Academy is a 12-month K-12 educational program for children with speech and language delays. We are looking for NYS Certified Special Education Teachers to join our team for the upcoming school year beginning in July. Applicants should possess a good knowledge of child development, experience working with students with speech and language delays and learning disabilities, good writing skills as needed for writing progress reports, and the ability to work well with a collaborative team and families. DUTIES INCLUDE: Leading small group academics and work 1:1 with students as needed Planning coherent lessons aligned to state standards Modifying lesson activities and assignments to meet the needs of diverse learners Differentiating instruction where appropriate Designing classroom routines, procedures, and activities Facilitating collaborative team meetings Assessing each student's level of progress on an ongoing basis and developing and implementing appropriate learning goals and objectives Collaborating with the classroom team to discuss areas of growth and continuously using data to provide appropriate individualized instruction and support Job Type: Full-time Start date: July 2025 Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
