Provide prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries according to professional standards of practice Coordinate patient care with healthcare professionals and educate patients and families on treatment plans and injury prevention Independently make decisions that positively impact patient health and quality of life Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with billing procedures when applicable Participate in performance improvement initiatives, educational programs, and community outreach events Assist with special events and injury prevention education programs outside of the clinic setting as needed Maintain compliance with all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude in all interactions Support patient care under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist or Medical Doctor when applicable Adapt to flexible scheduling needs, including varying shifts and occasional event support
Education & Experience Master’s degree in a related field OR Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience Preferred certifications include one or more of the following: NASM-CES NASM-PES ISFTA-CPT NSCA-CSCS FMS SFMA Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) New graduates are welcome, mentoring will be provided. Licensure & Certifications Current certification as an Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Board of Certification (BOC) Current Athletic Trainer license in the State of Alabama Current BLS/Healthcare Provider Certification Valid Alabama driver’s license and insurable driving record preferred Skills & Attributes Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities Passion for patient care, education, and rehabilitation Flexible and adaptable with scheduling and patient needs Professional, dependable, and team-oriented mindset
