The Wellness Program Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of wellness programs and initiatives that promote health and well-being across the UTMB community.

Supports the development, implementation, and coordination of wellness programs and activities that promote the health and well-being of the UTMB community. Coordinates wellness related screenings and assessments, providing guidance to participants to support their health and well-being goals. Delivers and supports health promotion education, workshops, presentations, and wellness campaigns tailed to assigned program areas and target populations. Plans, instructs, and facilitates wellness and fitness programming and classes, appropriate to the population and setting, which may include group instruction, individual training or coaching, or specialized certification-based programming. May serve in a coordination or oversight capacity for health and wellness related programs, services, vendors, or personnel within the assigned setting. Creates and distributes wellness related communications including digital content, social media posts, newsletters, and promotional materials to raise awareness and engagement across assigned program areas. Coordinates departmental and program logistics including scheduling, space reservations, supply ordering, vendor coordination, and event setup and breakdown. Manages incoming requests, inquires, and scheduling related to wellness programming. Collaborates with campus partners, departments, and community organizations to expand the reach and impact of wellness programming. Maintains accurate records of program participation, outreach activities, and evaluation data Assists in analyzing programs and compiling reports to support continuous improvement Provides departmental and leadership support functions including scheduling, budget tracking, procurement, inventory management and compliance with applicable policies.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Moderate skills in communication both oral and written; use of current and emerging technologies to deliver services Moderate to strong knowledge of UTMB and UT System policies and procedures Competent use of personal computers and general office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook electronic mail Ability to manage projects and organize work Develop ideas and programs to meet customer needs Competent presentation and facilitation skills Experience collaborating and integrating Employee Health & Wellness and Human Resource programs for delivery of services to meet customer needs Experience in program development related to UTMB’s diverse and geographically widespread workforce Strong customer service skills
