About the Job We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated Youth Basketball Instructor & Official to join our team and play a pivotal role in the development of young athletes.
In this dual role, you will be responsible for teaching fundamental basketball skills, officiating games, facilitating practices, and ensuring a fun, safe, and educational experience for all participants.
Season Schedule & Locations This position offers weekend shifts only. Candidates must be available to work each weekend of the active season: Saturdays or Sundays Locations: Venues are located across Columbia, Howard County, Montgomery County

Key Responsibilities
- 1.
- Instruction & Skill Development Teach young athletes fundamental basketball skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and defending.
- Implement age-appropriate drills and exercises using practice plans fully created and provided by i9 Sports.
- Provide encouraging, constructive feedback to help players improve their skills and confidence.
- Complete mandatory, financially compensated pre-season training sessions.

- Game Officiating Serve as the official referee for youth basketball games, ensuring fair play and adherence to league rules.
- Maintain a professional, authoritative, and unbiased demeanor on the court.
- Address rule violations and resolve on-court conflicts with fairness and diplomacy.
- 3.
- Safety & Supervision Prioritize and ensure the physical and emotional safety of all participants during practices and games.
- Supervise and manage groups of young athletes, maintaining a positive, inclusive, and high-energy atmosphere.
