The Licensed Social Worker is responsible for supporting the emotional, behavioral, educational, and social well-being of children residing in our residential programs. Reporting to the Director of Social Work, this position develops comprehensive psychosocial assessments, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and advocates for each child's individual needs.The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and a commitment to Second Family's mission, core values, policies, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Second Family, Inc. It is expected that the employee demonstrates behavior consistent with core values as well as follows all legal requirement in implementing duties according to policies and procedures. The Social Worker reports to the Director of Social Work and is responsible for collaboratively developing a Psycho-Social history for each child. This history will include detailed information about the child's previous family background, medical history, placement history prior to their arrival at Second Family, Inc., services provided during their time with Second Family, Inc., and future plans tailored to their individual needs.
