Description Do you love swimming, coaching, and helping young athletes build confidence in and out of the water? The Summit Area YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic and supportive Swim Coach to join the SAY Seals coaching team.
This position's primary focus is coaching our 10 & Under swimmers, helping athletes develop strong fundamentals, improve technique, build confidence, and foster a lifelong love of competitive swimming. As part of the SAY Seals coaching team, you'll also work collaboratively with coaches across all age groups to create a positive, challenging, and supportive team environment.
Whether you're leading practices, cheering swimmers on at meets, or celebrating personal bests, you'll play an important role in helping young athletes grow both as swimmers and as individuals.

Schedule & Pay This is a part-time position averaging up to 25 hours per week. Practice schedules are generally held: Monday-Thursday 4:30pm - 7:30pm Sundays 10:00am - 12:00pm Weekend swim meets and occasional team events The pay range for this position is $24.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and coaching certifications.

1-3 years of competitive swim coaching experience preferred. Competitive swimming experience required; coaching experience with age-group swimmers preferred. USA Swimming Coach membership (or ability to obtain upon hire). YMCA Competitive Swimming certifications and/or USA Swimming coaching certifications preferred, or ability to obtain within required timeframes. Ability to obtain CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and other required certifications. Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
