• Range: $14.00Lead Preschool Teacher Guardian Christian Academy Position Overview The Lead Preschool Teacher at Guardian Christian Academy provides nurturing, faith-based early childhood education in a safe, engaging environment. This role leads classroom instruction, plans developmentally appropriate activities, fosters social/emotional growth, and partners with families to support children’s learning rooted in Christian values. Key Responsibilities Classroom Leadership & Instruction Plan, organize, and implement daily curriculum that reflects age-appropriate learning in cognitive, language, physical, and social domains. Provide a structured schedule that balances quiet time, play, creative expression, Bible lessons, and outdoor activities. Use intentional teaching strategies to promote curiosity, problem-solving, and early literacy/math readiness. Christian Faith Integration Incorporate Bible stories, prayer, worship, and Christian character values into daily routines. Model Christ-like behavior and guide children toward loving God and one another. Assessment & Individual Support Observe, document, and assess children’s growth and developmental milestones. Differentiate instruction to meet individual needs and support varying learning styles. Communicate insights and progress with parents/guardians regularly. Classroom Environment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom that nurtures discovery and independence. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards. Prepare materials and classroom spaces that reflect current units/themes. Family Engagement Build strong, respectful partnerships with families through conferences, newsletters, and informal conversations. Share classroom goals, curriculum overviews, and strategies families can use at home. Team Collaboration Work cooperatively with assistant teachers, staff, and leadership. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development. Participate in spirit nights and special events throughout the year. QualificationsQualifications Education & Experience AA/BA in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (preferred). Experience teaching preschool age (3–5 years), ideally in faith-based settings. Skills & Attributes Deep commitment to Christian faith and alignment with Guardian Christian Academy’s mission. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Creativity in lesson planning and ability to engage young learners. Patience, warmth, and professionalism in working with children and families. Certifications (if required) CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). State early childhood licensing credentials (as applicable). (Staff health reports, mandated reporter, ACSI trainings) Working Conditions Full-time position during school year. Occasional evening or weekend events (e.g., parent nights, school programs). Must be able to lift 35 lbs Must be able to stand for long periods of time
