Job Description

  • University Laboratory School Transient- Athletics Job Summary: Coaches for various sports are required to uphold the rules and regulations handed down by the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA). Job Responsibilities: 100%- Provide the leadership, organization, communication and direction for their assigned athletic program. Provide supervision and direction of the individual program to which they are assigned. Instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, safety, strategy, and physical training necessary for them to realize a positive sense of individual and team. Advise, coordinate, and support a staff of assistants and recognized CECP coaches in conjunction with the Athletic Director and Principal. Delegate specific duties; supervise, implement and at season's end evaluate all assistant and CECP coaches. Establish a system for distribution, monitoring, collecting and storing all issued uniforms and equipment. Establish a list of appropriate team rules for approval by the Athletic Director. Monitor student grades. Maintain proper sportsmanship and sideline conduct at all times. Complete and turn in all paperwork on time. Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. Works with the Head Coach to uphold the above items. Model and reflect positive support for the program and provide positive suggestions to the head coach as needed. Other duties as assigned.
