Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced teacher to lead our microschool classroom. This is a unique opportunity to build and shape a nurturing, student-centered environment from the ground up. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, flexible educator who enjoys designing engaging learning experiences tailored to each child’s needs.
Status

- Key
- Responsibilities: Serve as the educational lead of the microschool classroom and support daily classroom operations Develop and implement individualized and group lesson plans tailored to students’ academic, behavioral, communication, and independence goals Lead a structured classroom serving up to six students (ages 5–10) alongside trained behavior therapists Create engaging, age-appropriate learning activities and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment Prepare classroom materials, schedules, and activities in advance to ensure classroom readiness Conduct assessments, maintain student records, monitor progress, and adjust instruction accordingly Collaborate closely with BCBAs, RBTs, leadership, and families to support student success Maintain proactive and professional communication with families through daily notes, conferences, and progress updates Conduct prospective family tours, lead student intake meetings, and support the onboarding process for new students and families Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, professionalism, and accountability within a growing microschool program Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities Maintain confidentiality and timely completion of documentation and reports
- Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of teaching experience (required) Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) ages 5-12 (required) Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or related field Experience in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) preferred Current RBT certification a plus (training and certification available) Strong classroom management and communication skills Open to collaborating in a multidisciplinary team
