The teacher is responsible for delivering daily instruction, managing classroom discipline, and collaborating with staff to ensure academic continuity. Additional duties include tracking student performance, leading parent conferences, and supporting the Corporate Work Study Program.
Candidates must hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in the subject matter and possess a Teacher's Certification. Experience in a high school environment and proficiency in MS Office and student database systems are required.

Key Areas of Responsibility
· Prepare for each class (Annual plan, Unit plans, a syllabus, plan lessons, correct papers, conversations with parents & students)
· Submit weekly Lesson Plans
· Prepare and Lead Parent Teacher Conferences (3 times a year)
· Attend all Faculty Meetings
· Develop and Execute a Classroom Management Strategy – maintain discipline & a positive atmosphere in the classroom
· Learn and utilize the on-line grading system
· Offer an Extracurricular Activity
· Attend all required Fundraising Events
· Work one week of the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) Summer Training program in August
· Attend the morning assembly (starting at 7: 15) and assist with the “check-in” of assigned students

Mid-August Teacher Orientation Meetings: Mid-June School year concludes
7:30 - Prayer and Announcements
7:45 - Student Workers leave for work - all others prepare for class
7:55 - Classes begin
3:30 - Classes end – Extra Curriculars begin (required period)
4:00 - School day ends
5:00 - 6:00 Student workers return to school
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree minimum, in subject matter
Teacher’s Certification: Highly Qualified status preferred
Experience with High School Classroom environment (or equivalent)
Sensitivity to the ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds of the student body
Proficient in MS Office and experience with Student Database systems
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Effectively communicate with students, parents, school staff, and others in a calm and respectful manner at all times
