Salary: $100,790 to $126,088 year
Master’s degree or equivalent in Spanish and Latin American Studies or a related field plus 3 years of teaching experience.
Demonstrated experience with teaching and pedagogy. Demonstrated subject matter knowledge. Effective communication skills with both students and adults. Ability to create and maintain a positive classroom environment. Ability to teach up and down the curriculum from 9th to 12th grades. Ability to create safe and welcoming residential environment for 9th to 12th graders. Be able to contribute meaningfully and enthusiastically to community service projects in neighboring, predominantly Latino communities. Ability to organize and lead intramural competitions, with particular skill and interest in recreational basketball. Ability to participate effectively in key committees. Must be fluent in Spanish.
