Implement daily program activities and ensure the safety and protection of children under the guidance of the Childcare Teacher. Maintain accurate records of attendance and assessments while serving as a positive role model for children and volunteers.
Overview This person will implement predetermined daily program activities under the guidance and direction of the Childcare Teacher.
EDUCATION High School Diploma or GED or equivalency. Required Fifteen (15) credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education or Special Education. Preferred Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Preferred Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Preferred EXPERIENCE Two (2) years work experience with young children (birth to 8 years) unless candidate possesses an Associate degree; OR, one (1) year experience and 15 credit hours in ECE or related discipline. Required ABILITIES AND SKILLS Effective oral and written communication skills. Required Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with children and parents. Required Sensitivity to the expectations of children and parents. Required Knowledge of Pennsylvania regulations related to Child Care Centers. Required Developed organizational skills. Required Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain. Required
