Job description

  • As a BrightBee After School Program Associate, you’ll support students in local schools—helping them learn, grow, and succeed.
  • Your day kicks off by welcoming students into a safe, supportive space after school.
  • You’ll help them settle in, supervise activities, and offer a hand with homework when needed.
  • Whether you’re leading a fun group activity, lending a listening ear to a student who needs support, or making sure everyone follows program rules, you’re creating a positive environment where kids can thrive.
  • You’ll also stay in touch with parents and teachers, keep accurate attendance and behavior records, and make each afternoon count for the students in your care.

  • You will be responsible for keeping students motivated, ensuring high participation, and adapting activities to suit different age groups and energy levels.
  • Provide dedicated homework assistance and small-group tutoring.
  • You will help students understand core concepts, practice study skills, and complete assignments, ensuring that the after-school hours are a productive extension of the classroom, Maintain active supervision of students during transitions, snack time, and recreational periods.
  • You will implement positive behavior management strategies to ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment, adhering to all program safety protocols and check-out procedures.
  • Assist with daily operations, including taking attendance, preparing activity materials, and maintaining a clean environment.
