As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Rosemead, CA Details: In-Person Tutoring in Rosemead, CA Schedule: 25 hours, 2 days a week to start, 3rd day to be added in Spring 2026 Pay range is between $25 and $35 Ideal Candidate: Active teaching credential required (Special Education credential strongly preferred) Fluent in both Cantonese and English (required) Strong background in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and speech/language impairments Experience providing individualized reading intervention and vocabulary instruction Skilled in developing reading fluency, comprehension, and expressive/receptive language skills Experience creating individualized lesson plans and customized instructional materials Strong understanding of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and relationship-based instruction Patient, encouraging, and able to maintain a structured, engaging learning environment Comfortable incorporating visual supports, positive reinforcement, and game-based learning strategies Strong communication and collaboration skills with families regarding student progress Prestigious academic background preferred Key Responsibilities: Provide individualized instruction in vocabulary development, reading fluency, and reading comprehension Develop customized lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with the student's academic needs and learning profile Strengthen expressive and receptive language skills through structured reading and communication activities Incorporate Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) strategies to build confidence, emotional regulation, and communication skills Utilize Cantonese and English to support language development and reinforce academic understanding Use visual supports, hands-on activities, and interactive instruction to maximize engagement Incorporate positive reinforcement systems, including the student's interests, to increase motivation and participation Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and adjust instruction based on performance and learning needs Foster a supportive, structured, and encouraging learning environment that promotes academic growth and independence Collaborate with the family to provide consistent updates and recommendations for continued progress Why Tutor Me Education?
