K-4 Aftercare Program: Assistant Teacher (5 days a week) REPORTS TO: Program Coordinator (Lunch, Recess, Aftercare) STATUS: Part-Time; Non-exempt START DATE: August HOURS: M-F 1:45-4:00 p.m., may vary depending on the week HOURLY PAY RATE: $18.23 per hour

This staff member will assist in the oversite of the K-4 Aftercare Program while nurturing and guiding our K-4 students during the after-care portion of the day. Program activities include active play inside and outside, creative play, and quiet time for reading and homework. Aftercare is available to students from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on all school days unless otherwise specified. The assistant hours are 1:45 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. but may vary based on after care attendance numbers.
Possess a strong Christian faith with a solid knowledge of the Bible, a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and a demonstrated character of integrity. Believe and actively support the school’s Statement of Faith. Possess a passion for Christian education and student discipleship. Individual must be comfortable connecting the biblical truths and biblical worldview perspectives to their students’ lives. Implement programming as directed by the Adventures 4 Kids Program Coordinator. Ability to manage student behavior while building positive relationships among students. Ability to work with all functions - administration, support staff, other faculty, and students. Previous experience working with school aged children is preferred by not required
