About the role

The Visiting Instructor is responsible for a 4/4 teaching load and performing departmental service. The role involves delivering instruction in English and related coursework to university students.

Department English & World Languages, Chair Compensation $51,000.00 Annual General Description/Primary Purpose: The Department of English is seeking a 9-month, non-tenure earning, Visiting Instructor of English. Position responsibilities include a 4/4 teaching load or its equivalent, and service.

About the Department: The Department of English at the University of North Florida offers courses in Composition & Rhetoric, Creative Writing, Digital Humanities, Film, Literature, Professional Writing, and Theater. The department offers two Bachelor of Arts programs: the B.A. in English and the B.A. in English with a Concentration in Creative Writing. The English Graduate Program offers the M.A. in English and M.A. concentrations in Creative Writing and Composition and Rhetoric. The department also offers minors in Creative Writing, Film, Literature, and Professional & Public Writing. Our courses contribute to a range of interdisciplinary programs, including Africana Studies, English Education, Digital Humanities, and Gender Studies.
