About the role

The Clinical Assistant Professor is responsible for a 4/4 teaching load or its equivalent within the Nurse Anesthesiology program. Additionally, the role involves providing service to the department and reporting directly to the Department Chair.

General Description/Primary Purpose

The Department of Nurse Anesthesiology Program is seeking a 12-month, non-tenure earning, Clinical Assistant Professor of Nurse Anesthesiology. Position responsibilities include a 4/4 teaching load or its equivalent, and service.

Supervisor

This position will report to the Department Chair.

Working Hours: Varies

Supervision Exercised

This is not a supervisory role.

Required Licensure

• Florida APRN license, Certification by NBCRNA, Terminal Doctoral degree-PhD, DNP, EdD

Anticipated Start Date

The position is expected to begin on August 3, 2026.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in nursing specializing in nurse anesthesiology
  • Terminal doctoral degree
  • Two (2) years clinical experience

Preferred Qualifications

/ Skills:

  • Five (5) years of clinical experience
  • Experience in didactic nurse anesthesiology education
