About the role

Assess English Language Learner abilities and provide academic intervention through 1:1 or group workshops. Commit to the academic, moral, and social education of students while attending professional development and parent meetings.

This position is full-time, 35 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess English Language Learner student abilities and provide academic intervention to scholars who are eligible for language support services in either 1:1 or group workshops as directed by the classroom teacher and academic intervention team.
  • Commit to educating the whole student – academically, morally, and socially.
  • Attend professional development and articulation meetings with classroom teachers and parents as required.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual skills, preferred.
  • Previous experience working with English as a second language students or with school-aged children, preferred.
  • Ability to assist in teaching reading, writing, and/or mathematics.
  • Aptitude to understand and navigate technical systems.
