Provide individualized adaptive physical education services to students with disabilities by developing engaging activities that improve motor skills, physical fitness, and participation in school-based PE. Provide direct Adapted Physical Education services to students with disabilities in accordance with their IEPs. Assess students' gross motor development, physical fitness, mobility, coordination, balance, strength, endurance, and functional movement. Develop, implement, monitor, and document individualized physical education goals and objectives. Design and deliver adapted instruction that promotes motor development, physical fitness, recreation, independence, and participation. Modify activities, equipment, rules, environments, and instructional strategies to meet students' individual needs. Collaborate with general physical education teachers to support student participation in inclusive settings when appropriate. Monitor student progress, collect data, and prepare evaluations, progress reports, and required special education documentation. Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, multidisciplinary evaluations, annual reviews, and parent conferences. Collaborate with teachers, families, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other related service providers. Recommend adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications that promote access, participation, and safety. Monitor students' medical precautions, physical limitations, and health needs during instruction. Maintain student confidentiality and comply with district policies, IDEA, FERPA, and applicable federal and state requirements.
