The Multnomah Athletic Club is looking for enthusiastic and energetic Gymnastics Instructors to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year.
Whether you're an experienced coach, former gymnast, teacher, camp counselor, or someone passionate about working with children, we'd love to hear from you.
We are willing to train candidates who have limited spotting experience but are excited to learn and develop their gymnastics instruction skills.
Opportunities include assisting with summer camps through August and teaching a variety of recreational gymnastics classes throughout the school year.
Flexible schedules are available, with opportunities ranging from 4 to 15+ hours per week.
Shifts are available Monday through Sunday, and candidates must be available to work at least one weekend day.
As a Recreational Gymnastics Instructor, you'll play an important role in creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment where young athletes can learn new skills, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of movement.
What You'll Do Lead engaging and age-appropriate gymnastics classes in a positive, professional, and encouraging manner.
Teach fundamental gymnastics skills while supporting each student's individual growth and development.
Monitor and track participant progress and adapt instruction to meet varying skill levels and learning styles.
Create a safe learning environment by following all gymnastics safety procedures and conducting routine equipment and facility checks.
Prepare lesson plans and class activities that keep participants motivated, active, and engaged.
Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates, answering questions, and supporting participant success.
Arrive prepared for classes and assist with program setup, cleanup, and equipment organization.
Attend staff meetings and training sessions and collaborate with the Gymnastics Supervisor to enhance program quality.
Maintain accurate attendance records and uphold all Club policies and safety standards.

Ability to create a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment for participants of all ages and abilities.
Previous experience working with children through coaching, teaching, childcare, camps, sports, recreation, or gymnastics is preferred.
Gymnastics experience, either as a coach or participant, is helpful but not required.
Willingness to learn spotting techniques, class management skills, and gymnastics instruction methods.
CPR/First Aid certification is a plus or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including spotting participants, moving equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in an active gym environment.
