Lecturer of Education – School of Education (Continuous Recruitment) Job Category: Academic Staff Employment Type: Terminal (Fixed Term) Job Profile: Lecturer Job Duties: While there may not be an immediate need for a lecturer in every area, UW-Stevens Point (UWSP) accepts applications regardless, in order to create a pool for when there may be a need. Discipline areas include: Early Childhood Education Early Childhood Special Education Elementary Education (including subject-specific teaching methods) Special Education Physical and Health Education Education Foundations (including educational psychology, classroom management, and pluralism in education) Educational Sustainability Language and Literacy Trauma-Informed Pedagogy Education Research Methods Lecturers are hired on a per-course basis each semester, and teaching one semester does not guarantee being assigned the following semester. The teaching hours for a lecturer will vary with a teaching load ranging between 1-12 credits per semester.
