Job Summary The Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) invites applications for a full-time, 12-month faculty position Lecturer – Student Mental Health Counselor. This is a renewable term faculty appointment in the Department of Medical Library and Learning Resources. Faculty type and rank will be determined based upon the successful candidate’s qualifications.
The Lecturer will support student success by promoting behavioral health and fostering the personal growth and well-being of medical students and residents. This position is responsible for assessing student needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing evidence-based therapeutic services. The role also includes outreach, prevention programming, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary student support model.
This position reports to the Director of Counseling and Academic Resource Essential Services (CARES) and the Lead Student Mental Health Counselor and works closely with the Associate Dean for Student Affairs.
