Lead Pre-K Teacher – 4-Year-Old Classroom
The Learning Experience – Bushwick is seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Preschool Teacher to guide our private Pre-K 4s classroom. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys preparing children for kindergarten through engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences in a nurturing environment.
As the Lead Teacher, you'll create a classroom where children build confidence, independence, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong love of learning using The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum.
Key Responsibilities: Lead daily routines and educational activities for a Pre-K 4s classroom
Implement engaging lessons that support kindergarten readiness
Foster children's language, literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development
Create a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment
Mentor assistant teachers and promote classroom consistency
Build strong partnerships with families through regular communication
Observe, document, and support children's developmental progress
Ensure compliance with all New York State and NYC health, safety, and licensing requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education required
Previous preschool or Pre-K teaching experience preferred
Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practice
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Must meet all New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements
