Instruct water fitness classes for students of all ages and ability levels while designing instructional programs and lesson plans. Ensure the health and safety of all participants by implementing proper safety measures during classes.
Under the direction of the Aquatics Manager, the Water Fitness instructors will give instruction to students of all ages and ability levels in Water Fitness classes. Design instructional programs, prepare lesson plans and instructional materials, present subject matter demonstrating proper techniques, and perform class management tasks.
1. To provide water fitness instruction that contributes to each member’s class/program goals.
2. To develop and instruct fun, energetic and highly motivational classes for all ages and skill levels.
3. Implement safety measures for classes to insure the health and safety of class participants.
1. 1+ years’ experience teaching water fitness classes preferred.
2. Professional group fitness and/or personal training certifications required.
3. Nationally recognized water fitness certification preferred.
4. Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
5. Must be at least 18 years old.
6. Must have strong people skills and the ability to speak in front of others.
7. Must be able to demonstrate various skills in the area of instruction specified.
8. Be able to read, write and communicate in English with the preferred ability to also communicate in Spanish.
9. Must be able to function effectively with minimal or no supervision.
