Schedule: Part-Time What You'll Do As a Preschool Assistant Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to work across various classrooms, helping create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where young learners can thrive. Support the Lead Teacher (ECLT) in planning and implementing engaging classroom activities that encourage curiosity, exploration, problem-solving, cooperation, and socialization Maintain a safe, healthy, and stimulating environment while providing constant, active supervision during classroom activities, outdoor play, mealtime, and nap time Respond to each child's individual needs with care and positivity, supporting their growth and development Assist with classroom preparation and developmentally appropriate curriculum plans based on Individual and group interests, strengths, and developmental needs Help monitor child safety, report concerns, and participate in ongoing professional development Collaborate with staff, families, and community resources to foster a supportive and respectful learning environment Step in for the Lead Teacher when needed while maintaining professionalism and effectively managing multiple responsibilities What We Are Looking For Education & Certifications Minimum age of 16 years High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or HiSET preferred Complete American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification within 30 days of employment and maintain certification Be current on the Montana Early Childhood Project Practitioner Registry within 15 days of hire Complete Infant Safety Essentials within 30 days Complete Health and Safety Required Professional Development within 90 days of hire Maintain required immunizations and complete annual mandatory 16-hour training Experience Practical knowledge of early childhood growth and development Ability to adapt activities to meet individual needs Experience with decision-making, problem-solving, and maintaining a safe environment Ability to work as a team member and communicate effectively with staff, families, and children Skills Strong multitasking, stress management, multi-tasking and critical thinking skills Remaining calm and reassuring in all situations What You Can Expect:

Requirements

Requires a minimum age of 16 and preferably a High School Diploma or GED. Candidates must obtain CPR/First Aid certification and register with the Montana Early Childhood Project Practitioner Registry.
