The Preschool Aide at All Saints Academy-St. Ferdinand location supports the Preschool Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, faith-centered, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. The Preschool Aide assists with classroom activities, supervises students, helps maintain daily routines, and promotes the social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development of each child in accordance with the mission and values of All Saints Academy-St. Ferdinand .
Assist the Preschool Teacher with implementing daily classroom activities and lesson plans.
Support students in learning through play, hands-on activities, and structured instruction.
Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized classroom environment.
Supervise children during classroom activities, recess, lunch, arrival, dismissal, and other school events as assigned.
Encourage positive behavior and model respectful interactions consistent with Catholic values.
Assist students with personal care needs as appropriate, including hygiene, snacks, and transitions throughout the day.
Prepare and organize classroom materials, learning centers, and instructional resources.
Maintain classroom cleanliness and assist with routine housekeeping duties.
Support the teacher in monitoring student progress and reporting concerns regarding student well-being or development.
Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and families to support student success.
Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and child protection requirements.
Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities as required.
A high school diploma is required, while an associate degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred. Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks associated with childcare and pass all required background and safe environment screenings.
