About the role

The Test Proctor ensures a fair and secure testing environment by maintaining exam integrity and providing required student accommodations. Responsibilities include verifying student identities, adhering to program-specific protocols, and preparing testing materials.

At Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences you will make a meaningful contribution to the dynamic future of medicine and health sciences. As a Test Proctor in the Center for Educational Enhancement, you will play an important part in supporting student success by helping ensure a fair, secure, and accommodating testing environment. If you are dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting students, we'd love to hear from you.

What you’ll do

Proctors exams and ensures exam integrity is maintained and students are receiving the correct accommodations.

Adhere to multiple testing protocols dependent on the program in which a student is enrolled and which accommodations a student receives. This includes verifying student identity, following rules for allowable items, or allowing appropriate breaks.

Collaborate with other testing officials about details of exams when needed, as well as planning the use of Academic Support testing rooms.

Assist with preparation of daily testing instructions and materials.

Ability to create, save, and use files in Adobe PDF, and Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel.

Performs other job related duties and special projects as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Associate’s degree in education, social work, or related field preferred.

Dependability and punctuality is needed.

Demonstrates strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills while consistently maintaining a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
