Description Are you passionate about basketball and making a positive impact on young athletes? Join our team at the Beaverton YMCA, one of the premier basketball facilities in Oregon, as a Competitive Basketball Coach for our Spring 2026 season.
This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about player development, team performance, and building confidence in young athletes through structured, high-level training and competition. This is a seasonal position with the potential to grow into a permanent part-time or full-time role.
Previous basketball playing and/or coaching experience preferred, with a minimum of varsity high school playing experience. Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, systems, and game strategy Experience working with youth athletes in a competitive setting preferred Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within and outside of the Portland Metro are CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain Must pass YMCA background check Compensation & Benefits Pay: $20.00 per hour Hours: 12-25 hours per week Employee discount Free YMCA membership Flexible schedule Paid time off Opportunities for advancement Location Requirement Must be able to commute or relocate to Beaverton, OR 97005 prior to start date
