Description Are you passionate about basketball and making a positive impact on young athletes? Join our team at the Beaverton YMCA, one of the premier basketball facilities in Oregon, as a Semi-Competitive Basketball Coach for our Fall 2026 Developmental Basketball League.
This is a seasonal position with the potential to grow into a permanent part-time or full-time role.
Practices (Sept 14th - Nov 11th, 2026) Mondays & Wednesdays 60-minute sessions at 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM, or 7:00 PM Location: Beaverton YMCA Games (Sept 26th - Nov 14th, 2026) Saturdays between 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM One game per team each week (game times vary) Saturday availability is required Location: Beaverton YMCA Key Responsibilities Teach fundamental basketball skills (dribbling, shooting, passing, defense) Plan and conduct engaging, development-focused practices Provide instruction, encouragement, and feedback during games Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive team environment Monitor player development and provide constructive feedback Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants
