Salary Range

Job Description

Inver Hills Community College seeks two (2) full-time, unlimited Nursing AD Instructors dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student centered learning community. The successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary and cross cultural perspectives. Faculty members at Inver Hills are professionally active scholars who participate in departmental and campus wide activities to enhance their disciplines, promote interdisciplinary discourse and collaboration, and advance the college mission. Participate in department and college curriculum development. Deliver classroom, web enhanced and/or online course instruction. Conduct classroom research and other assessment/evaluation activities. Mentor and advise students. Participate in committee assignments and college wide initiatives. Participate in department accreditation and review. Engage in scholarly and other professional development activities. Course assignments include day, evening, and weekend hours; and offsite locations.

*Master’s degree must be completed prior to start date.

Salary

$43,067 - $98,660 Annually; Salary placement is determined on the basis of education and experience and in accordance with the 2025 - 2027 MSCF Contract, and conducted by the Minnesota State System Office. Initial placement is limited to the step range permitted for new faculty under the MSCF salary schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirement Graduate degree with a major in nursing, or Bachelor’s degree in nursing and a graduate degree in support of the field of nursing and/or education A nursing program director must hold a graduate degree in nursing, nursing administration, nursing education, public health nursing or a nursing clinical specialty Occupational Experience Requirement Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse at the professional level. As a registered nurse at the professional level, experientially qualified to accomplish the mission, goals, and expected student and faculty outcomes; including experiential preparation in the areas the faculty will teach.

Recency Requirement One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years. Professional Requirement Current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse with current registration in Minnesota Other Requirements: Compliance with clinical affiliate policies for attending on-site clinical teaching assignments. Preferred Qualification: Higher education teaching experience with diverse student populations Recent acute care medical surgical nursing experience or long term care experience Understanding of holistic health and healing principles Experience with learning communities or team teaching Experience in curriculum development Experience incorporating technology into curriculum delivery, including web enhanced and online instruction Experience developing and using student centered, active and experiential learning strategies Experience integrating cross cultural and interdisciplinary perspectives in course instruction Experience assessing student academic achievement of campus wide and classroom learning outcomes Experience with accelerated adult learning
