Support the Lead Teacher in managing daily classroom activities and fostering a nurturing learning environment for primary students. Incorporate Spanish language exposure through conversations, songs, and activities to support children's linguistic and social development.
Park Schools Montessori is looking for a caring, patient, and dedicated Spanish-Speaking Assistant Primary Teacher to join our Primary classroom team. The ideal candidate will support the Lead Teacher in creating a positive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment while helping children develop independence, confidence, and a love for learning.
We are seeking someone who enjoys working with young children, values teamwork, and can incorporate Spanish language exposure naturally throughout the classroom day.
Responsibilities: Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities, lessons, and routines
Support children’s learning, independence, social skills, and emotional development
Communicate with children using Spanish through daily conversations, songs, activities, and classroom interactions
Help create a warm, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
Supervise students during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, transitions, and rest periods
Assist with classroom preparation, organization, and maintaining a clean learning environment
Observe and support each child’s individual needs
Help prepare classroom materials and activities
Encourage positive behavior using respectful guidance techniques
Maintain open and professional communication with teachers, staff, and families
Follow school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Qualifications: Ability to speak Spanish fluently or conversationally required
Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, or educational setting preferred
Experience in a Montessori environment is a plus but not required
Patient, kind, dependable, and passionate about working with young children
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow instructions while also taking initiative
Organized, responsible, and willing to learn
Comfortable supporting a busy classroom environment
Preferred Skills: Experience as an Assistant Teacher, Preschool Teacher, Childcare Assistant, or similar role
Knowledge of early childhood development
Bilingual communication skills (English and Spanish)
Creativity in bringing Spanish language learning into everyday activities
