Preschool Teacher - Substitute
The Preschool Teacher is a part-time position responsible for supporting preschool classrooms serving children 2–5 years old. This role helps create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that encourages children's social-emotional development, independence, and positive interactions with peers. The Preschool Teacher also assists in facilitating age-appropriate activities that foster children's creativity, curiosity, and overall development. Key responsibilities include supporting teachers with classroom activities, play-based learning, and hands-on experiences; assisting with daily classroom routines, including arrival, transitions, snack time, and dismissal; supervising children to help maintain a safe and positive learning environment; and following established classroom routines, program guidelines, and health and safety procedures.
*This position is to be an on-call substitute teacher for our Preschool Program starting on September 14th, 2026 and ending on May 21st, 2027.
Must be 18 years of age. Bachelor’s degree in Education/Early Childhood, or related field preferred. Previous experience working with preschool aged children required.
Teacher may have to lift a participant (in the absence of a parent) for consoling if hurt or crying. Teacher may be required to work during various weather and building conditions; primary responsibilities are indoors.
