Teach a self-contained classroom serving 1st and 2nd grade students. Deliver individualized instruction aligned with each student's IEP goals. Foster communication, independence, and positive behavioral growth. Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families. Monitor student progress and maintain required educational documentation. Create a safe, engaging classroom where students are encouraged to succeed.
Candidates must hold an active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 endorsement and a Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a closely related discipline. Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder is highly preferred. Strong collaboration, classroom management, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
